3 Signs that show you are Born Again

1. Love the word of God – 1 Peter 1:23-25, 1 Peter 2:1-3. No child is born that won’t breastfeed. Being born into the family of God requires us to breastfeed from the word of God. Otherwise, we will die from the faith.1 Peter 1:23-25²³ For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. ²⁴ For,

   “All people are like grass,
       and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
   the grass withers and the flowers fall,
   ²⁵     but the word of the Lord endures forever.”^c]

   And this is the word that was preached to you.

   1 Peter 2:1-3. Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. ² Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, ³ now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

2. Don’t continue to sin – don’t practice it – 1 John 3:7-10
   

   ⁷ Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. ⁸ The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. ⁹ No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. ¹⁰ This is how we know who the children of Godare and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.

3. You love the brethren 1 John 4:7-12
   

   ⁷ Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. ⁸ Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. ⁹ This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. ¹⁰ This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. ¹¹ Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. ¹² No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
