Are you going through difficult moments in life right now? Be still and see how God will come through for you. God knows that we will often face challenges and trials in life. He is therefore concerned about our response and he is hereby calling upon us to rejoice in our trials. Therefore, it is important for us to take them positively and know that we will be left better people upon overcoming these challenges.
James 1:…….2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. (NIV)
Exactly! If you know something is coming to make you a better person, you would definitely be happy to face it! Does this make sense? Well, it doesn’t have to…all you need is to believe and wait upon God. Focus on the end rather than the pain you are going through! Be encouraged in the Lord! Here is what God continues to say about our trials..
Hebrews 12: …3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. 4 You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. 5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:
“My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;
6 For whom the Lord loves He chastens,
And scourges every son whom He receives.”
7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Worship God at all times. Even in the darkest moment. He watches over us. He cares for you. It is well! Your trials and pain should help you bring forth something good. To dream is easy but delivering that dream is demanding. Don’t quit at your trial point. Conceiving something is easy but delivery is painful. The good news is that, it brings forth something good! “If conception was as painful as delivery, we would be few on earth”( Rev Biodun Fatoyinbo -62nd minute) – That sums it all. Be blessed!
